Perpetual Calendar | 5548BA | Box & Papers 1984

This Audemars Piguet Perpetual Calendar, called Quantième Perpetual, reference 5548BA, is offered in excellent collector's condition with its accompanying German set including original box and original papers.
The original warranty papers from April 1984, the accompanying booklet for the watch, the setting pin in 750 yellow gold, the original strap with 750 yellow gold buckle, and the original box are all included. A full factory service was carried out in 2024, and the documentation for this is, of course, available.

This model is in excellent preserved collector's condition. Only slight smudges and superficial signs of wear are visible on the case. No scratches or deep signs of wear are present on the case or its exterior. The strap is designed for 19cm wrists. The lacquered dial has no cracks, chips or signs of age and is in near perfect condition for over 40 years, as are the hands.
This is a German delivery with a matching German dial. Particularly noteworthy is the combination of the Swiss Made lettering and the deeply recessed sub-dials. So, you have the original model, the first reference, with a German transitional dial, suitable for the period around 1983/84. A true collector's item with a well-maintained history.

The built-in automatic caliber 2120/2800 was fully serviced and checked as part of a factory overhaul in 2024. The watch therefore has a current documented overhaul and can be worn immediately.
