With the 415 ES, Hanhart revives a classic chronograph with vintage charm. The new 415 ES combines the timeless design of the original with modern materials and technologies. A classic that continues its story in the present.

The result of this reinterpretation: The 415 ES with straight hands, tachymeter scale and red hundred scale. The "ES" in the name stands for stainless steel, from which the 39 mm case of the watch is made. Thanks to modern materials and a new movement, this model bridges the gap between past and present.

The original charm of the original watch from the 1960s is unmistakable: The 415 ES has a black dial with totalizers at 3 and 9 o'clock. The tachymeter scale on the outer edge of the dial helps to measure speeds over a set distance. There is also a red hundred scale on the dial.

STOPWATCHES & CHRONOGRAPHS FOR THE HIGHEST DEMANDS

The Swiss-German company Hanhart is one of the most important chronograph and stop watch manufacturers and has been synonymous with top-quality precision timekeeping for decades.

Once upon a time, founder Johan Adolf Hanhart, set out to launch the world’s first affordable stop watch. This succeeded. The first chronograph wrist-watches followed. The time pieces were used specifically in aviation and were very popular with pilots.

Even today, the original successful values of the brand are recognizable in all watches - functionality, thanks to good legibility and

operability & reliability due to robust construction. The special look of the Pilot's watches is never lost.

The historic 415 ES

The 415 ES was first presented in the mid-1960s and was available in various versions. Two special features were introduced to Hanhart for the first time around 60 years ago: a chronograph with a bidirectional rotating bezel with 60-minute divisions and the striking, sporty wing logo with which the company modernized its external appearance.
There have been many different designs of the 415 ES throughout history. Some models, which can also be found in historical catalogues, were implemented with Dauphine hands, others with a straight hand. There were also dials in light and dark versions.
However, a very special combination of the chronograph captivated the Hanhart development team and was revived according to today's manufacturing standards and with the most modern materials.

Modern Vintage Charm

In today's new edition, Hanhart has revived the model in a historically correct size of 39 mm in diameter. The aim of the new edition was not to create an exact copy of the old watch, but to retain the classic design and give the watch the latest state of the art technology.

Comeback: Hanhart's traditional wing logo

The dial of the 415 ES bears the historic "wing logo", a symbol that Hanhart used as its official logo from the 1960s onwards to promote a rejuvenation and modernization of its external appearance. It is the first time in over 40 years that this special logo has been used on a Hanhart wristwatch.
